Advocacy Service
Sunbury Accord provide a free, confidential and independent advocacy service for its members and other people attending the group.
The Advocate, is at Sunbury Accord most Friday evenings, and can also be contacted on 01784 884970 (Answerphone only) or by sending an email to info@sunburyaccord.org.uk
The Advocate can help with accessing benefits or housing advice, attend Doctor or Consultant appointments, CPA reviews, asserting rights, accessing information, making complaints, or the many other issues where people may feel the need for support, advice and information.
The Advocate will encourage and support people to develop and foster their own self-advocacy skills, and will speak with, rather than for them. Where this is not possible, time will be taken to ensure that there are clear instructions from the person on action to be taken.
